Default 13.5:1 Pump gas??

can 13.5:1 compression ratio be tuned to run on 93 pump gas? I was thinking of doing a 13.5:1 pump gas tune and then a 13.5:1 race gas tune for when I want to get optimum performance. Any downfalls to this? My tuner said he can do it just havent asked him downfalls etc. Have any of you heard of this being done? Also this is a nitrous motor with a HUGE shot and I Will only ever spray it on the race gas 104+ octane. Thanks for any help.

your gonna have to bleed off alot of dynamic compression to be able to run that static compression. Its not really worth it. This should be in the internal engine forum though.

With any tolerable sized cam, youll likely want to shoot for 11.5:1. Some people have run 12:1 with less timing, but thats usually the limit. You cold always buy a gallon of toluene to mix in every tank, but youll likely ping to all hell without it.

Downfalls = boom on the first tank of bad gas you put in from a pump with 93 oct.

Yes I have 42lb injectors. I guess I need to talk to my tuner and see what he thinks. If I had to run higher octane would 104 be enough?
