Default please help, pressed in pickup tube?

i'm doing my h\c swap and in the process of putting in a new timing chain. After removing the four oil pump bolts i went to take off the pickup tube bolt only to find it's not there. I've worked on alot of cars and it seems as though the tube is a press in, like a small block chevy. the tube doesn't even have a flange to bolt it on. anybody know if this is common, rather how i would go about removing the tube? any help is appreciated.

There isnt a front bolt. Did you check on the backside of the pickup tube, thats where it should be?

There should definitely be a bolt for it. Unless the o-ring was holding it in.

This is news to me... What motor is this on?

Sounds like youve done this before and this is the first time youre seeing a pickup tube without the bolt, is that correct? Any chance you can get a pic of the non existing flange?
