Default ticking noise

I installed an F14/Patriot Golds/7.4 pushrods a couple weeks ago and had the car tuned. Was fine for a while then all the sudden Tuesday morning Im getting a real loud ticking from the driver side somewhere, its not a squeal like a lifter its a definite 'tick'

Its only at idle (or I can only hear it at idle atleast) and I know its driver side somethnig because when I unplugged the driver side coilpack harness the noise was completely gone. Maybe I need some 7.425's?? any ideas?

oh yea we pulled the driver side valve cover and no springs are broken or anything, and all rocker bolts are properly torqued

that may be it. the f14 has a smaller base circle and it could be your not getting the proper preload. Didnt juan install it?

it might be a miss - if you unplugged the coil packs and it stopped, it was probably a miss...check your plug wires

it's alot less time consuming and less expensive than getting new pushrods, although, having proper preload is a good thing

how about your order a preload checker? 30 bucks or so from thunder and you can see what PR's you actually need. If the coils seem to be fine, then check your plugs to make sure they're not fouled.
