Default Let's play a game of ... name that sound...

There's a constant ticking from under the hood, near (or in) the engine on the passenger side in the far back corner (under the cowl) Is this a common sound or could something dealing with the 8th spark plug be going bad?

it's a real bitch to get the plug wire on all the way back there...check to make sure it's on all the way, if the sound doesn't go away, pull the plug and check to see that it isn't fouled

i'll check on that. but like you said, it's a total bitch to get back there. I'm not sure if you'll check back on this, but can you believe one of the little tune up service centers in my area wanted to charge me $150 to change both that plug and number 6? That's rediculous.

the last plug is easier to get to from the bottom and behind.

w/ hooker Lt's, it's almost impossible to get to from underneath. Better people than I have tried and failed.

Pulled off the wires on that side and did my best to tighten them and now there's no ticking. Success!
