I have done 3 head swaps and used that stuff each time, just a little more insurance can't hurt, thats what the stuff is made for.

Just spray your gaskets, and you should be fine.

What type of head gaskets? I wouldn't put any on the exhaust gaskets assuming they're the GM MLS, no need.

Ehhh, I wouldn't spray copper on the GM MLS, they are more than fine how they are. Now if they were Cometics, then I would lightly spray them to make absolutely sure they had a good seal to avert chasing down coolant leaking problems like some people have reported. I had Cometics and used copper spray on them upon first application and they sealed like a charm.

Might be a dumb question but can this spray be purchased at any regular parts store?

The head and exhaust are both GM MLS.
