Default Anyone running the LS2 timing set? How much slack?

Is anyone running the LS2 cam gear, chain and crank sprocket? If so did you have any problems with it?

My new timing set seems a little loose...but I didn't check the tension of the stocker before removing so I can't compare. Theres about 3/8" of play side to side max when applying side pressure in the middle of the chain. Is this normal...I don't really feel like changing the crank gear again just to check.

That is good. Too tight will apply unnecessary pressure on your cam bearings,.

I use just the chain, it's always a little loose.

My car has 85K miles on it so I decided to swap the gears and the chain just to be safe. FWIW I noticed more wear on the crank sprocket than on the cam sprocket. The cam gears are the same except the LS2 is a solid piece.

Edit: Before anyone bitches about the coolant, the previous owner put it in.

I've got a radiator and some coil packs to install tonight and it'll be good to go.

PS I should have a sound clip up sometime soon for anyone who's interested.
