Default Cam Question

I have a stock 01 M6 TA. Im thinking about putting in a TR230/224 cam, 918 springs, and titanium retainers. Is this all I will need and how will this setup work on a stock engine? This would be the extent of my mods as I want a good reliable daily driver and still have that muscle car sound as well as performance. Any other reccomendations are welcome. Will this net me around 400hp?

I'd recommend dual springs, its worth the extra couple of bucks for piece of mind. Also, you should definitely think about getting some stronger pushrods. While you are down there you might want to replace the valve seals/seats. Its also a good time to put on a pulley while you have thge front end apart.

i have the TR227, and love it! its the one smaller than the TR230. I was going to go with the 230, but i drive mine 700 miles a week, so the guy at thunder racing recommend the 224, but wanted to go a little bigger, so pointed me in the direction of the 227. i couldnt be more happy with it. Idles okay, and driveability is stock like. The driveability is so good with mine i wish i would have gone bigger. i say for for the 230 and dont look back. i used comp 918's with my 227.

Thanks guys, Im about ready to begin the install. After its assembled anyone now about how much tuning will be? Also are their certified tuning shops or does is really matter? This power should be fine on the stock rear end right?

tuning will run from 400 to 600. Where are you located? Their might be a sponsor nearby that can hook you up on a tune.
