Without a tune, you're not going to like the cam. With a tune, you may not need gears (though, 4.10's/4.11's do that cam sweet justice). Don't do things halfway. Either do it right or wait till you can.

I have a 231/237 112+4 in my 01 ws6 m6. it will running extremely rich @ idle and lean up @ 4/5 k rpm's, I dyno'd @ 359 rwhp w/stock tune, currently 417rwhp/390 rwtq w/ dyno tune on stock gears, same setup as yours but, w/ no pully. so a tune, u will need and I recommend soon. mine stumbled when coming to a stop and even cut off at times. now that it's tuned it still stumbles but, find's idle quick and does not cut off, I think this is normal due to size of cam. I plan on going w/ 3.73 gears vs 4.11's, just to keep me from shifting to much from light to light. I also went w/ 7.425 p-rods to quite down the sewing machine sound and possible gained 1 or 2 hp if anything. hope this helps.
my setup:
231/237 .589/.595 112+4
ls6 Patriot heads 59cc
kooks lt /ory
borla catback dual tips
lca
lid
granateli maf
