Car wont start

Default Car wont start

just finished putting everything back together, all hoses are connected , all cables are plugged. there was a wire in back of the passenger side dead that was loose when i took of the intake manifold. pulled the passenger head but that cable didnt go anythere where. any suugestions. it just wont start. i have a brand new battery also.

There's 2 ground straps on the back of the passenger head. If they're not hooked up, that could be causing your problems. What part of Vegas are you in? I might be able to give you a hand.

You might want to check if your plugs are fouled. Mine's were and that prevented mine from starting.

Another problem arose when I got the car started.

For some reason the idle was very high. In the 3000 range. Any ideas what may be causing it?

If your throttle body has the cables hooked up and is closed right it could be a vacumn leak. You could spray carb cleaner or something around the intake to find the leak. Make sure all the vacumn lines are hooked up as well.
