Default installing a cam

is there really any problems with installing a cam? i read a lot of problems with oil pressure after a cam install. Is there an amount of milage that is best to do a cam install? What kind of problems can occur after a new cam install? Thanks

If you are careful and follow instructions, you won't have any problems.

Sounds like your looking for reasons not to swap your cam. If you have to talk yourself into it maybe you'd be off waiting until the next harmonic convergence in the Arizona desert for inspiration to do your cam swap. I'm sure that there are a few reasons not to do a cam swap, but most of the visitors to LS1Tech seem to find more reasons to do it than reasons not to.

Money for one. Experience for the other. Take your time, take breaks...don't get pissed. That is when you start breaking all the stupid sensors and what-not.
