Default Problems figuring out my DCR

I keep coming up with a DCR of like 10.87 which seems way high. Am I doing something wrong??? Is this way too high?

Cam Specs are 244/248 112 +2
duration at .006 Int 293 Ex 297
@ .050 Int Open 12 BTDC Close 52 ABDC
Ex Open 58 BBDC Close 10 ATDC
Bore 4.030
Stroke 4.00
Rod Leg 6.125
Head Gasket .043
Head Volume 64cc
Piston -2cc

it seems your SCR is over 12.0:1 which is driving your DCR up. are you sure about the piston specs??

I just redid this on Jrods excel spread sheet and it cam out to a DCR of 9.00
My pistons are -2cc. Would this be an optimal setup? I run 94octane on the street and add a 104 mix for the track.

I could not tell you the limits on SCR for street apps, but it seems you have it dialed in for track use (race gas). I am curious as to the different DCR #'s you are getting though. I used an online calculator and came up with the same #'s as your original post???? what is different with the spread sheet calc's????

I get 8.75... What is you piston deck height??? When you say your pistons are -2cc do you mean dish or dome???

You have to enter the 2cc dish as a positve integer. You would use -2 if the pistons were domed...

To answer your question, yes the 94 octane and the race gas mix will work for you...

Optimal??? Be a little more detailed. It is flat-out going to have some grunt. If this is for strip only use I would say hell yes.... Street use, weekends only, sure ( ). DD, you are going to spend some money on fuel requirements...

Good Luck,
