think I F up computer
Two months ago some jackass hit the rear quarter panel on my ss, so instead of haveing a boby shop do the job I did. SO I took the quarter panel of and welded on a new one no big deal, Had the battery disconected for about 1 month, last night I finish it all up started the car and it will not stay running. I have to hold my foot on the pedal to keep it running,do you think my computer is messed up, or can it be reset if the battery was diconected for to long,the car was ls1 edit awile back and it got a cam,ls6 intake,headers exhaust and some other stuff. also I am noy getting any ses lights. what do you think.

the car needs to relearn it's settings. drive for a couple of minutes, it should get better - most time is about 15 minutes. this happened to me after I disconnected the battery for awhile.

yes - if the voltage falls below a certain value, the computer thinks it don't have any voltage. all the setting are cleared, when you power up it does not know what the values were.

Its just idle and fuel trims that get reset.
Everything else will be ok as its flash memory. If it started its probably ok.
See if it sorts itself out, otherwise you may have bad gas in the tank (maybe got water in) or stuck IAC motor etc. Get some nice clean gas in the tank and see how it goes.
Check your plugs, wires etc.
