mild cam, small torque converter - which ported heads, 5.3 or LS6?

Default mild cam/small torque converter which ported heads 5.3 or LS6?

next mod will be ported heads just wondering the pros & cons of the 2 I'm considering 5.3 & LS6.

or is just porting the 5.7 fine for a mildly modded daily driver?

Ported 5.3s will be less expensive and achieve higher compression without milling. MTI 2e's are worth considering for your goals.

AFR 205s with their small port volume would be a good choice if funds permit.

I do understand that 5.3 cost less AFRs are way over priced plus it changes spark plug angles (I'm thinking these plugs are allready hard enought to replace).

I have a Bud that is sponsored by PRC so I can get a good deal on either 5.3 or LS6.

I'm starting to think that 5.3 or LS6 heads is a presonal prefrance 5.3 gives more compression LS6 has smaller exhaust valve an better designed D shaped exhaust ports.

Would like to get heads so I can match them with a LS6 intake manifold thinking it would be better for the intake ports to match the heads compared to just installing a LS6 intake on LS1 heads?

That's why I'm thinking LS6 would be better or will the 5.3 after porting match the LS6 manifold this is why I am posting here consulting the experts.
