Default LS2 or Dbl Roller

I will be installing a TRex cam and am trying to get all the parts in order. Can I use an LS2 timing chain to save money and install difficulty? Or is it necessary to get a double roller IE Crane Came Dbl. Row Roller (pt#40-144984-1 from Thunder Racing). I will not be installing the cam myself but will be having someone else do it. He told me there must be some extra work (extra $$) done to put in the double roller. Just looking for some opinions, thanks everyone.

Ditto. It's on my LS2 402 that sees 6800-7000 shifts. The dampner is a nice added piece of insurance.

double in my opinion. Might be over kill but its more of a piece of mind with me. I have the rollmaster double roller and had no problems installing it. Remove and replaced.

Ever try doing a cam swap with a double roller already installed?

Cool looks like I'm going to go double roller. What brand would be best? Are they all the same?

installing the chain isn't the pain. the pain is doing a cam swap after the chain has been in there already.

a double roller isnt that bad to install, i had one before. the addend insurance is nice.

this time around i went with the LS2. it was $28 from sdpc2000.com and it its more heavy duty than i thoought it would be. looks like a very nice chain.
