I wasn't too impressed when I saw it

I don't think it was UPS because the package wasn't damaged.

I carefully ground it flat and don't think it will be a problem...

Still pisses me off!

Same thing happened to my ET 265's, but it was UPS's fault. I did the same as you and smoothed it out. Due to the location, I highly doubt there will be any problems.
