Default Throwing sparks out of the exhaust?

When my car shifts it throws some long *** sparks out of the x-pipe. WTF does that mean??

yah, i have never seen that on a car before...flames but not sparks

I've seen it when the muffler was going and bits were flying out. I'll bet it really sprays sparks when downshifting hard... If no mufflers, maybe you're torching the cats...

its a wide open headers to open x-pipe... that's why we cant figure it out??

Uh... that can't be good... "sparks" are metal... so somethings throwin powder and it's burnin out

Yeah, sparks have got to be steel or iron filings. Unless its carbon burning off and blowing out, but I doubt it would continue to happen. Id try a compression test to make sure its not a ring or liner problem.
