TR Cam Recommendation
I got a cam recommendation back from thunder racing the other day for my 383 LS1 build-up. Here is the specs:
1999 Chevy Silverado Ext. Cab
383 LS1(4.000" Eagle Crank/6.125" Scat I-Beams/undecided on Pistons)
5.3 Patriot Performance Heads (Stage 2)
3.90 Gears/Eaton
2600 Yank Converter/Beefed-up 4L60-E
Full Bolt-ons
Dyno-Tune
They said to stay on the smaller side since I occasionally tow and being my daily driver. They said to go with a 224/228-110 on a XER lobe. I was kinda wanting to go a little bit bigger than that. What do you ya'll think?

What about the top-end? Like from a roll would I have a chance at a stock Lightning or SRT-10?
How does it do in your car? Where does the hp and torque peak at? When do you shift? Thanks!

I shift at 6000 rpm but the cam will easily rev to 6800rpm. Yes, your heavier pickup will easily outrun the stock Lightning But you may need a 3.42-3.73 gear for better top end.
My horsepower peaks at 6250 rpm
