Default do i need to change lifters with cam swap

I am getting a MS3 cam installed in my car soon and i was wondering if i was going to have to get some new lifters put in?

Well it's really kind of iffy. Things is that you have to pull the heads. Which means new head gaskets and bolts. Depends on how far you want to go. If it were mine I wouldn't put new lifters in untill I decides to swap heads.

Default thinking.

thats was i was thinks about doing. but i just didnt want to run into a lifter problem when i do the cam install. i had a friend that happened to.

Required no, recommended yes. Comp Cams replacements are around $200.

Its a pain in the add to replace lifters if you wernt going to do a head swap now. Id wait till youre ready to do heads. Most of the recent failures showing up have been caused by the cam, and if the cam is bad, it dosnt matter how new the lifters are.

so what cam you guys recommend not going past(in size) to keep the stock lifters in good shape? my car has around 58,000 miles and is a DD.
