I know you would like somebody local but, We have an excellent stage 1 program for the stock 5.7 head using the stock valves for 995.00. Although you would have to ship them, UPS is only about 30.00 each way and 2 days away. Check out our website for more info it sounds exactly like what you are looking for

We can port your heads, perform a 5 angle valve job, hand blend the bowls, and ship them back to you for $650.00. This will include a flow sheet specific to your heads. If you have any questions, please PM or give us a call.

Patriot Performance is in Alabama I believe. I'd reccomend you sending them your heads to get ported. Ya can't beat a CNC port for consistency and it's a great price. I sent them my 243 castings and everything went smooth. With what you want and your goals, I'd suggest keeping the stock valves to avoid a lot of headaches though.

Haven't put them on yet. The valves I got were thicker on the base than stock so they kinda created a PTV clearance issue. I'm having them worked on right now and when I get them back, I'll install the heads. Here's a pic of what I'm talking about:

You can see that I lost .040 of PTV clearance w/ those valves. Stock is on the right and Ferrea is on the left btw.

On a set of 241 castings, the flow @ .600" will be in the 290 range. Stock heads on our bench flow in the mid to high 220's @ .600".

Rock Hill, SC here...

AI does decent work and Phil has some good running LT1 customers out there, but i've met him and IMO he's kind of an ***, and his prices aren't that good for what you get. Others may not care about some of that stuff, but I think there are too many companies out there that DO provide great customer service (two of them in this thread alone) for me to consider going to someone where I'm not sure how I will be treated. Hell, I see Gunnar around these boards helping more than I see the admins

Don't get me wrong, Phil isn't a bad guy, but I just don't like how he trashes people sometimes.
