Hooking up?
Let me know if you think It will hook up on the street or track with the following set-up.
LT's, Catd-y, 228R @ 112, Dart 205's, 4.10s, UD pulley, pnp TB, ls6 intake, 10 bolt and stock tires. 6 spd. sfc's, sways, lca's, phr
Will it hook up from a 1800-2500 rpm launch? or will it hook up from a 15-25 mph roll? Would it just be spinning till 40+?
10" + traction = breakage

I had a hard time with stock motor. I got the cam(s) and heads throughout the years, and can melt the tires at any rate of speed practically. If you are worried about traction, get some of those new M/T ET Drag Radials. You just roll'em over a few times to knock the dirt off and they are way stickier IMO than a nitto has ever been.

342's might hang for a while but 410s will be shot in no time. I went through that on an old LT1 that was putting down about 375 to the wheels. My brother has the car now and it is hanging in there w/ 373's and about 390 to the ground. He's not seriously launching the thing either. Mostly roll races where the nittos stick well enough but not completely. If you all out hook it will break after a bit. Your best bet is to run around on nittos and kinda halfway hook. Sounds silly but its what Ive found. Stock tires stand zero chance of traction with that combo. A tq arm and good dr's would be a minimum investment for traction.

Im just hoping not to break anything. Looks like I will hold off on the Darts.
So should the next direction be for me to go with a new rear and larger rims/tires. A new clutch and Trq arm?
Then look for heads and beyond?
Appreciate the feedback. The initial responses are confirming what I sort of felt. hard to stop wanting power for your $$, but I guess I wanted to know what the line was before the $$ went to make sure the car plants the power it has
thanks

If your looking for good traction, then I'd opt for the rear-end first, especially with a 6 sp. car. The power's nice but it doesn't do much good if you can't hook it up and then if you do you don't wanna blow the rear out. I can spin my tires through 50 and it sucks when I have to feather the pedal that long and can't put all of the power down until I'm almost to highway speeds. It's alright if you always drive at highway speeds but it town it blows. It looks like you have decent power and if you could hook it well it will help your low-end speed a lot.

Appreciate the tips.
Yeah opted to forgo the dart heads. stick to the rest of the mods. Ill have 4.10 gears in, but ont he stock rear. Will have to plan on the rear and tire change for next year.
As for proper launching etc ill save that for the track tech area
