Default Emission standards on Comp Cam 224/224 563/563 or 568/568 114

Hi,

I'm looking into putting a mild Cam in my 2000 LS1, a friend suggested a Thunder Racing Comp Cam 224/224 .563/.563 114LSA, I could also get a .568/.568 used from another guy. Problem is, car will be registered in Germany, so I have to keep certain emission standards. I know the .563 cam is emission-legal for CA. Question is, does is have similar (or even better?) emission values than the stock cam? I'd hate to stick the cam in (w/ other headers) and then end up having to put the stock one back after failing the next inspection ...

I already contacted Thunder Racing, but they couldn't give me any numbers on emission values...

Tnx!

why dont you just go the cheatr route? it is a cam designed for car that have to have to deal with pesty emmision requirements. It has such a big exhaust duration and lift that it will still make great power with stock manifolds, cats, and a cat-back... not to say though that it wouldnt work a shitload better with some LTs ORY and Cat-back. Just get some shorties, gutted cats, and a nice freeflow exhaust with the cheatr and you will be set!

thunder racing makes that cam

also add some rhoads lifters will help some. You wanna keep your LSA about 1/2 of your duration ..your right on cusp. Vinci/crane has a mild cam 216/224 .551 on 115lsa. Get a procharger and really show those v dubs whats up..vvvvwhaaat lol
