Default help a deployed soldier

I have a 02 collector TA it has H/C TNT 150 TH350 9in rear with 411 full suspension minus k member. My best ET is 1040 @ 127 mph im currently deployed to the sand box again looking to spend some money on by car Im trying to run 950s im leaning towards a 402/408 with AFRs or ET heads with a victor jr intake with a 300 shot. My Questions are what short block. what heads and cam. and what size stall i already have a fuddle 4400. any help would be appreciated.

well, the popular sponsors to the right for crate motors are sdpc and texas speed....the wait on the afr heads might be less than the etp.

as for cam and heads, is this a car you drive on the street, or a track only car? Have you considered the fast90 setup instead of the victor?

are you going to run out of gear with the 4.11s?

Default ttt

its mainly a track car with a occasional street drive. I think the victor would out flow the 90/90 setup. I hope i dont run out of gear with a 28 inc tire if so i might run some differnt gears any suggestions?

well you could always see how your setup runs (redline, etc) , and decide on gears accordingly. some vendors are offering 3.90s, so that could be an option if you need to back down a bit.

I think the victor is meant for a carb setup...I've seen ppl adapt it for fuel injection, but I don't think it will clear the stock camaro hood? anyone else chime in?

Skinner, I ordered my 402 yesterday..... By the time you get back I should be able to hurt you at the track...NA of course! I ordered mine from SDPC and will shoot you a PM with my results.. I will be useing my AFR205 heads with another "Baby" cam, ported fast 90, ect ect. If I'm not mistaken you still have a full wieght car and some traction issues right?

give eastside a ring, the number of 9 second nitrous setups that have com e out of that shop are plentiful to say the least.... they can steer you in the right direction to get to your goals no problem.

If setup correctly the car shoul dbe making about 650ish with ease on stock shortblock.

Sounds to me that the converter is a little loose for the mph its running on the bigend. I ran 127 @ 3400 lbs with a stock motor and 150 shot in a Formula.

Default hey top

Hey top whats up with the 402 did the spray put your other short block away? Cliff told me you was getting ready to spray it. Did you get any good passes? So how much was your short block and why the 402 and not the iron 408? I dont think ill have traction problems ill probably run drag slicks instead of radials. Im going to lighten up my load also.

I didnt get to run with the gas... the nitrous just found the weak link in my motor I started to foul #7 plug and smoked pretty good at WOT I did a leak down but the POS guage I was using didnt show me anything. Anyways I decieded to go with a stroker and do it right, after all this car will be with me for a while and I can afford it right now.
As far as the my choice, 402 over 408 it was really about wieght I know its only a 100lbs but after talking with a friend with a 408 I decieded I didnt want the extra wieght over the front end.. I bought my 402 from SDPC they sell for ~4095 but I bought some other stuff from them so he cut me a break on the whole deal.
