Tell us about your monster cam. What kind of duration is it? LSA and ICL? Are you planning on flycutting your pistons?

BTW, there's no need to port the AFRs. They come CNC ported from the factory and flow very well. The gains of the AFRs depends a lot on how much compression you will have. Willingness to flycut will determine how much you can mill the AFRs. Flycut and you can mill to 59cc no problem.

i noticed in your sig that you are palnning on going to 60lb injectors. Are you planning on going FI or what? that is way too much injector for a n/a motor. 30's should be fine.imho

AFR225s only if your doing a larger displacement or power adder (turbo or S/C) - at least thats what I hear - but maybe Patrick G can clear that up - looks to me like he's got a cam that could lift the engine out of its firwalls - he he

I've got the 205s milled to 59cc and they'll give you 40rwhp just like the articles state. My combo doesn't have alot of rwhp because of about 20 - 23% drivetrain loss.

Do you plan on flycutting? If not, you're leaving lots of power on the table since you'll probably have to keep your AFRs close to stock compression, especially if you choose the 225s with the larger 2.08 intake valve.

With that cam I would look into getting a set of AFR 225s milled to 59cc to bump the compression (would he need to get Cometic head gasket or would the mill be enough?). You will have to flycut but it's worth doing since you are going to be in there anyways. Like Patrick said, not flycutting will leave lots of power on the table and you will end up going in and doing it later. I would go with the 225s because I don't think you will lose that much power on the bottom end but you will gain quite a bit more up top.
