Default Torquer 2 Cam Help....

I'm going to be buying the whole PRC package along with the ls6 oil pump, and a double roller timing chain with the cam, and i was wondering if this cam would be suitable in stop and go traffic a few days a week? the specs on the cam are 232/234 .595/.595 113lsa. Also what is involved in getting a double roller timing chain to work? here are the links to what i will be getting...

If I were you I would get the Stage 1 (stock valve) PRC 243 and get the 112 instead of 113.
113+0 will rev to the moon, 112 is better VE wise as well.
Stock gasket with unmilled heads.

I run the torquer 1 (233\233 595\595 112) with the PRC platnum duals and kit ... it is a dailey driver and I have about 29,000 miles on it..sounds great at idle and pulls real strong to the red line...I mean father than you want to rev it..on stock rod bolts..it likes for you to run 4.10 gears..you will need a real good tune to use it as a DD..if it were me I would use a LS2 timing chain instead of a double roller..it makes its power from 3500 to 7000..not much down low..that is the reason for the 4.10's..I made over 400 RWHP with it on stock heads and bolt ons no pulley and through the mufflers..you will probably like it...I'm getting ready to replace mine with a custom grind I had comp cams make for me

Great choice on the cam. I might also would go with a tighter lsa if you're looking at staying n/a. And this cam will make a great dd. As said before, it's all in the tune. I know guys who run the TRex as a dd. It's tons of fun to have a good lopey cam on the street. People look at your car like .
Oh, and I wish I knew more about the Ls2 timing chain, but I have no experience with them yet.

I have almost the same cam, mine is on a 112. I DD my car all the time, a lot of people say my car sounds great and it really doesn't lope that much. I have the 3.73's and it seems to be doing fine.

I have that cam 113+0
With 7* overlap it lopes nicely but nothing obnoxious. Part throttle increased timing will reduce surge and make it very civilized

sure you could, but its like really pushing it because they support a max lift of .600 and that cam has a lift of .595. Its like really on the edge, i rather pay the 100 bucks extra and get better quality and durability.

That is almost exactly what I bought except the cam was a Torquer 1 over a year ago. My car is a DD and I love the cam. It made 401 HP last month.
Good luck.

How long would you recommend going between spring changes with a setup like this?
