Default TEA LS6 Heads

I ordered a set of LS6 Stage 1 heads ported by TEA, Total Engine Airflow.

Below are the flow numbers (TEA's bench)

3.90" bore
Stock LS6 Valves (hollow stem).
Milled 0.020"

Flow numbers

Lift ..... Intake ..... Exhaust
.100"..... 66.6....... 50.5
.200"..... 137.7..... 116.8
.300"..... 215.1..... 165.6
.400"..... 258.3..... 226.3
.500"..... 300.1........ 246.2
.550"..... 312.0..... 251.4
.600"..... 320.2..... 256.6

After I got them I cc'd the heads myself and here's what I came up with.

Chamber: 64.45 cc
Intake Port: 230 cc
Exhaust Port: 80 cc

I'm considering having them flowed on my friends superflow bench but he doesn't have fixtures for the LSx engines (only old SBC chevy).

The port work looks nice and the cc numbers were repeatable for each port / chamber. I thought the chamber volume would be smaller since these are 243 heads and were milled 0.020.

Just thought I'd share.

Looks like the average for those heads. My Stage 2.5's with bigger valves actually showed less flow with the same port volume. The heads will perform, that's been proven, but do yourself a favor if you like the flow numbers on the sheet, don't put them on the superflow. My heads didn't break the mid 290's on Larry Meaux's bench.

I understand the numbers won't be as good as TEA's on my friends superflow. The bench is a Superflow 110 or 120 (can't remember) which only pulls 10" of water. What I'm more interested in is the numbers comparing my stock 241's to the ported 243's. Since my friend doesn't have fixtures for the LS1 I'm considering just flowing it through the throttle body, intake, and head as an assembly. Then change heads to see the difference. We'll see if I can con him into doing it for me.
