Default heads cam install

i have a 98 formula and i am wanting to do a patriot heads and cam install. (with lifters, pushrods, gaskets) along with that i have a timing chain, plugs, and set of pacesetter long tubes.(and extentsions) if anyone knows someone who can do a good job for a decent price around the STL area please pm me or let me know. the lowest price i have gotten is around $500-$525.. thanks for the help.

If the lowest you found is $500 for H/C swap, then probably IT IS the lowest price you'll ever find. Most shops charge close to a $1000 for a Head/Cam swap.

Of course, you get what you pay for. Shops charge $1000 because they have experience in doing it, and it takes roughly 8-10 hrs to do it right.

It's your call. Personaly, I'd spend the whole weekend doing it myself. If you're logical, and you've been on the forum for a while, you're gonna do fine... at least I did
