Default Where can I get a catch can?

From what I've heard, I need a catch can!

Is there any vendors here who can help me?

How difficult will it be to install?

And how much do they typically run?

AMW is a sponsor here but the price is extremely high. I got one before the price increase and it works so, so. Still having problems with oil getting by it. You can get one on Ebay for cheap.

easiest thing in the world to make. go to home depot and get a small air compressor filter and housing and some hose and clamps. looks just like those over priced catch cans, and mine worked amazingly

To tell you the truth.........I don't even know where to hook it up to or what exactly one looks like.

I've heard about one once a long time ago on a turbo import car. I really didn't pay much attention either because it was an import car. I'm not really a fan of the imports if you know what I mean.

So, EXACTLY what parts do I need to get to make this?

And how do I make one?

Lastly, how do I install it?

You guys are gonna have to educate my ignorant ***!!!!!

you pretty much replace your PCV valve with the can I believe, you just extend the lines to a place where you can mount the can

Jon, the cost is determined by the size. We have many variation and can custom fabricate anything thaty you may need to fit your engine compartment constraints. $$ range from $87 to $130.

quoted from the guy that told me how to make mine:
After the PCV and before the intake I used a 3/8 fuel line with a Sears/Home Depot/Wal-mart purchased inline oil separator (Campbell ? ) that is found in the air compressor section and is priced at $7-9. I plumbed it in with brass barbs and 3/8 line, made sure the bowl was pointed down, zip-tied it to something, and she was good Total cost @20 and the capacity isnt that big, but hey, you can empty her a little more often rather than pay $160. PS, i didnt have mine long enough, but the white stone like filter element MAY stop up in time. heck, $9 every 15Kmiles and replace it
peice of cake

This is just what I needed. I will compare the one on e-bay with the one from Jegs.

This will definately help!

Can anyone provide a picture of where they installed it on there LS1? That way me and others will know where EXACTLY to install it?

Really just any spot that you have room or care to put it. Some people run the hose all the way to the other side of the car. Just depends on how long of a hose you buy and where you want to put it.

I just bought this one. From the diagram it looks like some thought went into it. Haven't installed it yet.
