Default Strange rattling near redline?

Took the new WS6 out yesterday and noticed a strange rattling sound coming from what sounded like the front drivers side wheel area, I'd compare it to rocks in an aluminum can type sound. You can hear it starting around 5400rpm and it continues all the way until redline and shifts out (A4). It gets faster as the rpm's climb. It happened once, so I wanted to see if it was going to do it again, but the next time I hit it, it seemed fine. Later that day though, it did it again. Is this engine related? What does this sound like to you guys? The car is GM certified and has a 3 month/3000 mile warranty, so whatever it may be it will be fixed. I wanted to get a little insight on what it could be before taking it back to dealer. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Joe.

Whats the recommended fix? The car is 100% bone stock and I recently filled it up with premium fuel (at least 91). Would the dealer even be able to do anything for detonation?

I have sold more then 10 cases of Seafoam this year. That's more then 60 cans, and every customer was totally satisfied. You can use Seafoam to clean your fuel system, your combustion chamber, and your crank case. Just know that when you suck a can through your intake "to clean your combustion chamber," your car will smoke for an hour or so, that's just carbon being cleaned out. But, the smoke does go away, and you'll be all clean.... Good luck.

I would suggest against putting it in the crankcase. If you have used good oil throughout the life of the motor, there won't be a need to "clean" the crankcase.

I have Al foil type heat sheilds on my GTO with Turndowns and thoses things used to rattle like CRAZY in high RPMS...

I smushed them down a bit and they don'y make much noise anymore....

If it is detonation, I have fixed that problem on a bone stock ram air with a k-n air filter by cleaning the mass air meter with electrical cleaner. There was an oily film that must have been giving a bad signal.
