The specific duration's may be off a bit (should be 204/211), but yes, they're both LS6 cams.

01 LS6 had a different cam, rated at 395HP, 02+ LS6 used the higher lift and were rated at 405HP.

01 LS6's were rated at 385 the cam was 204/211 with less lift then and 02+ LS6 cam but it has a 116 LSA vs the 02+ LS6 cam on a 117.5 LSA

207/217 .525/.525 LSA 112...I think that's the GM Hot Cam...not an LS6 cam. But it would work in an LS6.

Thats true, but maybe not for the price you can get an LS6 cam for. It cost me less than the price of a new aftermarket cam for the LS6 cam, springs, pushrods and gaskets.

I am pretty sure he is going turbo. LS6 cams work good for turbo.

FWIW, I chose the 02 LS6 for 2 reasons: more lift and higher LSA.

I am going with the LS6 cam as well. Everyone knocks it. But from what I have read on here, it performs quite well, stock reliability/idle, and is cheap.

Sounds like a no brainer.

Go with the 02 Z06 cam.

02 z06 cam is better IMO for the turbo setup.

backordered parts are the worst, im still waiting for tools to do my cam swap to a MS3.
Perhaps look at buying a used Cam, or a crate engine takeout. I will soon be selling a cam out of a brand new '03 LS6 crate engine I bought from GM. I should have it on ebay by the end of the month.

From what I've read isn't the CheaTR even better for boost then the LS6?

It's grind is very close to a the TR blower cam as well.

I couldn't find the 02 LS6 anywhere, went with the MTI stealth II instead, it's reverse split to avoid reversion, still .581/.581 lift and also on a 116LSA which should work perfect for a turbo application.

I ran 9.4 @ 144 with an 01 Z06 cam - they work just fine for forced induction cars and you can run 02 Z06 valve springs and stock pushrods with no problems..

True, alot of people knocked mine until I started dragging the bigger cammed cars down the track and everyone started looking for nitrous lines.. lol

BTW, I wouldn't buy one new.. there are people here on Tech with these cams for sale for CHEAP.
