how to test lifters still in car/ Knocking that went away think i have a bad lifter how do u test them. Made my second run at the track and wheni got to the end of the shut down u heared a knocking sound (very loud) by the time i got back into the pits by my trailer it went away. IT did it once befor about 1 month ago then went away. The first thing i looked at was my oil psi wich was still at 40psi at1k rpms. Im thinking its a lifter or a rocker.
