Default help me decide...PRC LS6 stage 1 w/ MS4 or w/ Fast 90/90?

So I'm looking into finally throwing some heads on here and I'm impressed w/ the price and performance of the PRC stage 1 LS6 heads (with the valve job). Do you guys think I would see better results switching to the MS4 or by going w/ a 90/90 combo? I have an LS6 intake now and the original TSP 233/239 cam. I'm leaning towards the 90/90 producing better results but then again it's a lot more expensive than a new cam. On the other hand I can sell my LS6 intake and ported TB to bring the cost of the 90/90 down. Opinions please!

Youve already got a pretty badass cam. If it was me I would get the 90/90 setup

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. I know there's better cams out there but I don't see picking up more than maybe 10 RWHP w/ the MS4 vs. my current cam whereas the Fast 90/90 would see well over that vs. my current LS6 intake. Of course most of my gains will come from the better heads but I'm shooting for anywhere in the 425 - 450 RWHP range w/ torque around 400. I already dynoed at 398 but that was w/ a lean tune, stock TB, and no pulley.

You'd probably see about the same with the FAST 90/90 and the MS4 ~20-25rwhp. The LSK lobes on the MS4 make it a lot bigger than the 233.

I would think if you kept ur current cam, added the 90/90 setup, added a pully and a more aggressive tune, plus a set of heads, you could easily see 440 rwhp, maybe a little more.

Jakes right about the MS4 being a lot bigger with the LSK lobes, but if it was me I would just get th 90/90 and keep that cam. Just my opinion...

The Ms4 isnt going to give you +20rwhp over the cam you have now...Youd be lucky to see +10.....Go with the Fast 90....

Well when I dynoed 398 rwhp before it was on a lean tune and before I got my pulley and ported TB. I now have HPTuners and a wideband so I tune on my own. I'm sure a proper tune with the addition of these heads and 90/90 plus the small gain of the pulley will shoot me up near 440 as well...that would be sweeeeeeet

It'll be close to that for two reasons:

1) the 239 LSK lobe has the curtain area of a larger XE-R lobe (244 or so) which is a huge step up from a 232 XE-R lobe
2) much better VEs for better optimized power (the older TSP cams did not optimize the DCR and VEs for optimum power, whereas the MS4 is much better at this)

Anyway, the MS4 is a cheaper swap (if done by you), but drivability will suffer. Also, a solid 20+rwhp on the FAST is coming from the Ported ones, so be prepared to spend more there as well (otherwise 15-20 is the norm).

Either way you go, the FAST 90/90 is a mod that is compatible with all your future mods (heads, different cam, etc.).
