Default New Cam, new Springs. do I need new locks

I am going to install a new cam. I have PRC springs, seats and retainers. Do I need new locks or can I just use the old ones. The engine has 13,000.

Thanks

I just used the old locks on mine with 85,000 miles on them. But you could change them just for the extra insurance.

I wouldn't change out the locks. I guess you could say they're comparable to lug nuts, unless one of them is FUBAR'd, then I wouldn't think twice about re-using them.

just use the stock ones, you'll be fine with those.

Ahhh, the voice of dissent. I much prefer the insurance of $35 machined locks. The stock ones are stamped, and are not as strong as machined. My vote would be to buy machined locks since they are apart anyhow.
