Depending on mileage you may want to consider new valve guide seals. The new design includes the seat and the seal - easy install while you have the spring off.

Do the TDC method for springs.
Bring piston 1 to TDC (using a tool) change 1& 6 (both at TDC), rotate crank clockwise 90*, and continue the next 2 cylinders using the firing sequence.

This method works great! And its always good advice to change out the valve seals while youre in there. Just make sure you push them on hard enough. They almost feel like they "snap" into place. Most of the smoking cam storied are bcause of improper valve seal installation, and the seals ride up and allow oil to pass through and burn.
