What does it mean when the cam has 11x +x LSA?

Default What does it mean when the cam has 11x +x LSA?

I'm trying to understand everything about cams.

Ex 114+4 = the intake centerline is on 110 with +4 degrees of advance ground into the cam(same as advancing the cam with an adjustable sproket). 114+0 or just 114 means the cam has no advance ground into it and the ICL will match the LSA. 112+2 would = 110ICL + 2 degrees of advance ground etc, etc. Check out the camshaft sticky above.

David Vizard also wrote an excellent book on cams and valvetrains for the small block. Its around $20 from Amazon, great read and you will learn a lot if you want to know more.
