Default 228 232 xer

i have an extra cam sitting in the garage. its a 228 232 xer .58? .58? 112lsa.

i drove the car that this cam came out of it was a m6 camaro and now im thinking about putting it in an auto TA. i remember under 3500rpm it didnt seem to make much torque but once it hit 3500 it was like turning on a light switch and the car would take off.
my question is would this be a suitable cam for a DD? can i expect it to behave any differently in an auto then the m6? the cam has about 35k miles on it, does it have much life left in it?
my main concerne is torque especially down low considering that this is gonna by strictly a street car DD.
the main reason im considering this cam is because i have it laying around in my garage what would be a better choice cam for making low and mid range power?
i also plan on putting in a 3200-3500rpm stall in it at the same time.

It will be all in the tune, but I think that you will be able to street the cam no problem. It will behave differently just because of the differences between the A4 and M6 IE: stall converter will play a decent role in the A4. The stall speed that you have listed should be fine for that cam size.
Hydraulic cams will not wear out. Unless you have lifter failure/issues would be the only real reason to "buy" a new one.
