Default 500rwhp off bottle?

So I think my eninge is finally done, and i;m sick of putting money into it only for it to break again. I can see on the pistons where the valves have hit them, didn't even have a cam in it. So, I would like to make around 500 rwhp, off bottle. I was wondering, who can build a short block that is going to be capable of this? What head/ cam setup is going to need to be used? I was debating between trak, trex, MS3, MS4, and the LGX5? I know bigger is not always better as well, so any recomendations would be helpful.

500 is very hard to get but you'll be able to get in the 480-490 range with something like the ms3,ms4 or g5x4 with a great set of heads and all the boltons, that is if you are an m6.

If you are going to rebuild the motor I would at least spend the extra bucks and get an Eagle 4.00 crank. They don't cost that much. You'll get 500 easier with a 383 than stock cubes. Not to mention the torque.

For reliable, usable power in that range look into a 402 or 408 shortblock. A 408 with good flowing 6.0l heads (around 1300 with dual springs), a 25x sized cam and Vic. Jr. intake should be close if not over 500 with a very impressive torque number as well.
