I'd go with 4.11 or better. My car is great on the street with the MS4, but I have 4.11's. It cruises on the highway at 70 with no problems at all. This cam sounds wicked. You are gonna love it

hey i just got off the phoen wit a guy from speed inc and he was telling me that the ms4 would be a waste of money and told me to go with the SI5. he was sayin the ms4 only has about 10 more hp and with it i would lose all driving capabilites pretty much.. any input on this one?

Of course he told you that....Speed inc doesnt sell TSP camshafts. I cant testifey to the driveablility, however, I trust alot of the people on this board and thus far, there have been no complaints about driveablity with the MS4. And I damn sure trust the advice of people(selectively) on this board, over a salesman.

MS4 is streetable, IMO. Depends if you care on buying more gas or not. Gas doesn't really bother me figuring the car is my only source of entertainment. It really doesn't matter how much power you have, as long as you don't hook. :-) I think you will be clear in the 11s with those mods you have posted. Low 11s. Anywho, good luck with the car and keep us updated.

How many threads have you heard or personal bests have you seen set by an S15 cam? The MS4 has been a popular topic thus far, but has yet to put down any numerous, solid, consistent, numbers. If you are wanting a weekend street racer with awesome track power you could look into the G5X4 or TRex V2 as well. You could also look into getting a custom TRex sized cam on LSK lobes and a 109 LSA. Awesome power up top, good midrange (thanks LSK lobes!) and a sick sound.

If you must choose between the MS4 and S15, I'd go with the MS4. I have never even heard of the S15.

I'm sorry you had to deal with incompetence.......

Their S15 cam is eerily similar to the TSP 231/237 that was popular for us over three years ago, we have since updated with better camshafts and our torquer v.2 has replaced that camshaft.

We have had nothing but great responses and results using the MS4, from what I have experienced and what I've been told by some customers the MS4 is even more driveable than the MS3 due to a better DCR and more power under the curve. If you run a search on MS4 or ask a few of the people running that cam I am sure you will be pleased with the responses.

IMO, the MS4 will lope harder than the "S15" cam mentioned but it wont be any less driveable, and will outperform the "S15" in any aspect.

If you need any information or just wanna chat let me know!

Zach

You will find "drivable" us "streetable" is REALLY in the eye of the owner. Anything is streetable. How streetable is a horse of a different color all together.

It all depends on how you feel about it.. Drive someones car with a cam of that size and see what you think... It is the ONLY way to know for sure.

I think its best to remember if you want big HP you will have to take somewhat of a hit on driveability. If you are willing to tolerate a little bit of shake at idle from the cam then, IMO, the MS4 is exactly what you want. I have definately never heard of an "S15" cam and if it is a 231/237 it is not gonna put out near the HP the MS4 will.
