Default Any downside to 02+ LS6 cam?

Is there any downside to running an 02+ LS6 cam in a 1999 A4 F-Body? Does the Z06 cam give up any low end torque? Do they idle the same? Everything is stock except upgraded springs and pushrods. I am guessing I would need a tune, too.

Thanks, -Dave

Having that exact combo, Id have to say only if you have a converter. I have lackluster acceleration until about 3500-4000rpm with that cam and stock converter. Picked up on top but not worth it in my opinion.

Wow... did you get your PCM retuned when you switched to the LS6 cam?

Lol, yes, I actually work at Diablosport. Notice GM never made an auto LS6 equipped vehicle... Not a good match for stock 'verter.
