Default LS1 Cam removal / install

I was wondering if installing a cam on an ls1 is do able with standard tools or does it take precise measures better left for shops? What all needs to be taken off to take a cam out?

The first tool needed is called the Search Button. There is 4 billion threads about this. And then go to http://www.ls1howto.com , pics and all the info you need in one place.

It's only hard the first time. Having done it 3 or 4 times it doesn't seem hard at all now. irritating, but not hard, especially when you scrape your knuckles on those annoyinng plastic fasterners that hold the plastic weatherstripping liner to the cowl.

Mine wasnt too bad, took alot of time because I couldnt get the balancer pully bolt out, I ended up taking a torch to it to heat it up and loosen up GM's version of locktite then it came right out!
