Default New to LS1. Need some ?s answered please :)

Ok I just picked up a 97 C5 Vette. Now I am looking to get a little more out of it, so I did all the Free Stuff you can do to it, like the Zip tie mod, TB bypass, and Muffler Bypass.

I was looking at some 1.7-1.8 rollor rockers. now my questions is, has anyone use these and are they worth the money, and what kind of real hp numbers do you think i could expect. I am guessing I need to change push rods too with these, or do i still use the stock?

I am also looking at picking up a LS6 intake. Thanks for what ever help you can give me, I sit on here reading as much as possible, but not everything you read is true, so I figured I would ask for once.

rockers will probably not give you much hp. i'd look into a set of headers,ls6 intake. then when you get enough money saved up get a cam package.

I would skip the roller rockers and get the LS6 intake, a ported throttle body
(they are pretty cheap), headers (TSP has some inexpensive Corvette headers), and a dyno tune. These things will wake your car up.

Thank you, I wasent sure if they were worth the money. I will get the LS6 intake, and a tb, headers have to wait, a bit priciey but then i should be happy.

It has a nice strong lope to it but idles great. You can run a fairly big cam like mine and have good idle quality and driveability but its all in the tune so youd need to find a good tuner in your area. With the C5 vette you will have an x-pipe, which will sound even better than my y-pipe setup so I say go with some LG motorsports or kooks 1 3/4 headers, off road (cattless) x pipe, and a magnaflow catback or maybe a B&B triflo exhaust, plus a good sized cam.
