Default Good cam?

In the sales someone is selling a comp 228/230 cam that is new for a reasonable price. Would this be a good cam for a bolt-on car? I want good power through the powerband, something that wont **** me off too bad in occasional traffic with the M6. The car is sometimes a DD. anyone got vids of what this cam sounds like? thanks

Jon

You'll need the springs and pushrods to go with it, most people will suggest a ported LS6 oil pump and LS2 timing chain. Overlap is what really effects how "streetable" your cam is, you'll need a cam guru in here to help you out with that, what LSA is the cam on? I bought a 224/224 cam on a 114 LSA for my daily driver M6 camaro. Good luck with your build!

LS1sounds should get you a vid or sound clip. 228/230 is a pretty good sized cam. If it is not a constant DD I really wouldnt worry about traffic and stuff. Just once you get it installed get her tuned and it should be just fine.

As one said already, get ya vavletrain upgrade kit as well, your ginne need it.
