Also the stripe is not all the way down it just covers about 3 of the 7 springs per spring

I've got new 918's in a box waiting to install, blue stripe all the way down. No markings on the bottom of the spring. Mine have been sitting for about 8 months though and they could have changed their marketing in that time.

I'm not aware of any change in stripe color on 918's. Call Comp Cam and ask.
Otherwise yeah 03 LS6+ springs are orangish.

I bought a set of 918's in June and they still had the blue stripe.

Did yours come in a Comp Cams box? Also is there a part number on the box?

Be Carfull! how long have those springs ben sitting around!? Three years ago lot's of people were having problems with the Comp 918's with the orange stripe! Springs breaking and all. Then comp came out with the blue stripe springs that were suppost to be the good one's. I'm suprized no one else that has been on this site over three years mentioned this. I definatly would not use those orange stripe springs.

I remember that **** storm, just had no idea that the original 918 had an orange stripe. I dont know if the search will go that far back but its a lot of fucked motors from the original springs.

I didn't even double check, I had taken them out but didn't know that they had blue stripes on them. I bought them brand new, I hope I didn't get screwed. I'll get you a refund and do the research on my own. Let me know.

Refund made... These springs were sold to me as NIB 918's, apparently they aren't 918's, or an older model. Thanks for understanding Lawhorn.

I got these on ebay from a seller in April, and I never installed them or spring tested to verify spring rates. They looked new, and came in the 918 box. I was uneducated at the time when it comes to LS1 valvetrain, so I will try to resolve this with the original seller. =\

Hmmmm, I don't see a stripe on the ones I bought from Summit. They came new in the box. I checked them and the only thing was they measured about #100 pounds installed at 1.800". I have sinced shimmed them up another .060".
