Default Any A4 H/C cars having to run a larger throttle body?

I was told that I needed a larger throttle body for my tranny to shift correctly. Has anyone ever heard of that?

Haha....you need a good tune for your tranny to shift correctly--has nothing to do with the throttlebody.

If you dont change your blinker fluid every 4K miles, it also won't shift into overdrive.

It's either that or he might need new muffler bearings... needs at least ABEC 7 bearings.

Yeah, mount it to the Johnson Rod.

he TB doesn't have anything to do with it. I'm running a 78mm Shaner S3 on my H/C A4 car and it's just fine.

C'mon fellas the man comes on here asking for some help and yall help him out by telling him about some blinker fluid and some damn muffler bearings and ****.I'm pretty sure his tranny is Vac Mod so there are things that need to be checked before blaming it on the T-Body.

PM Sent Bro.

Sounds like someone is trying to make some extra $$$ off of you. No TB change is needed.

Man,man.... you know I have never heard of "Blinker Fluid" or "Muffler Bearing". Now Johnson Rod that's a good one. Guys I know it sounds ridiculous but when I was looking for answers this is what I was told. It does have some merit though. I asked another reputable tranny builder(sponsor on the board) and they said that it can happen. The thing is my car could only make one pass on the dyno because the tranny was slipping in third. I need to take care of the tranny situation to finish my tuning. Then for some track time. So, with that being said a little help would be appreciated. Thanks rssmoov1 for the help.

is it a vaccum modulate tranny or stock style? if its stock styling i dont see how a different size throttle body could have any impact on it at all.

I don't think he was talking about you. I'm going to try and find a good pressure gauge to check my line pressure to see if the pin in the vaccume modulator is the correct length. Anybody know who sales a good gauge?

It should be 1.405 outta of the box but isn't.Mine was a 1.411 and another one I did was a 1.409.
You will be surprised how just a few thousandths would affect the pressure.

Wow .004 to .006 will make that much of a difference? Could the pin be filed to the correct length?
