Default Step by step

I was wanting to pick the braintrust here. Currently, I have a stock ls1 with 112000 miles. Runs like a champ, burns no oil ect. I realize that I will need to have the block magnafluxed first. I want to do a stroker and head and cam, with the door open for a supercharger in the future. Sounds like the concensus is a 383 or there abouts. (maybe 394?) I want to try do do this in steps as I will not be able to write a check for everything all at once. So with that in mind, I would think the heads and cam would be the place to start. What will work with the stock bottom end and not leave the engine gasping for air in the event of a stroker (383ish) or possibly a s/c on top of that? Is there a "standard" for a mild stroker set up as far as head and cams go? Say company "x" stage 2 or something to that effect?
