Default LS6 Conversion and now no Oil Pressure

I just finished installing my Ls6 Conversion Kit from summit. I also put a Crane double roller timing chain in scince i was taking the cam out. Well I finished the install and when i finally went to start it after getting the engine all ready to be started it had no oil pressure at an idle. when i held the motor at around 2000 rpms it would be around 45 to 50 psi and that is usually what i am at at an idle. I was thinking it had something to do with the oil pump when i had to shimm the back for it so it would fit in with the new chain. I heard somewhere that there is a special way that the oil pump must go in. like a special dept or something. or maybe the cam bearings are shot. the car has 74000 miles. I bought it with 68000 and i never really beat on it. I ran it at the track only one time but i dont know how the previous owner was so the bearing could be bad. Does anyone have any ideas.

Let me be the first to say, check the o-ring on the pick up tube.

How much pressure did it make before you took it apart?

how did you work the pump and O ring? Worn cam bearings wouldn't give you 0 pressure, ditto on the pressure before you strated question.

The car had like 45-50 psi at an idle before i had the motor apart. And what is the reason for a green o ring. Arent they for A/c?

The oil pump pickup tube has a green o ring. Did you remove the pump to shim it?

Do not run the engine till you fix that o-ring which is at the joint between the pump and the pickup tube.
