Default Ls1 stock lifters

I was looking at my lifters and on the side of them they have a little hole on them and it sits rite at the base of the lifter tray what is it? and what dose id do also i looke inside my gm repair manual and it says nothing of which way this little hole should go toward the piston or toward the vallet cover? if i could get a little bit of input on this just asking out of curiosity since i know that never hurt ill get pics posted soon of whats going on

Sounds like your talking about the oil feed hole. This is where oil enters the lifter to pump it up. It does not matter how you install it, there are only two possible ways to put them in anyways. When I pulled my stock ones out, they were installed every which way. As an **** thing, I installed mine with the holes pointing towards the back of the motor.

true... from the factory they were pointing every which direction

i did the same though and pointed them toward the oil gallery when putting them back in
