Default how do i determine valve relief size?

i have a short block with lunati 12cc dome pistons with valve reliefs. was built to be used with a cam in the .650 range, but i was thinking about going with something bigger and solid roller. i don't know how big the reliefs are, how can i determine this to determine if the cam will fit or not? thanks

Matt

Can't you use the clay method?

you have to already have the cam to do that i think. i don't have a cam yet, i want to know how to determine exactly how much room i have in there. might just have to find the part number for the pistons and call lunati.

Probably the easier way to do it. You could fill the reliefs with clay, measure the mass of the clay, and then convert from mass to volume or any other similar method... but I think you're right. Calling them would be the easiest way.
