Default Smoke Inside Intake Manifold After Running?

Well I drove the car around with the new engine and it runs well. But I noticed that after it's been running at full temp, that the manifold is filled with smoke that smells like burning oil. There is no smoke at all coming out of the tailpipes. I have the LS6 PCV conversion and it doesn't look like it's sucking in any oil. After running the motor for the second time, there was far less smoke in the intake manifold. Could this just be from oil that's burning off in the intake runners of the heads? I did turn the motor upside down to fix the crankshaft with the heads still on, so I'm sure some oil seeped into the heads.

Just wondering, thanks!

Could certainly be that. I wouldn't make any assumptions until I ran it for a little while longer, assuming it's running fine.

Yeah man, it runs great. I'll keep driving it and keep an eye on the amount of smoke, hopefully it will slowly go away.

ya keep running it, you gotta get all the oil off of everything. both my ls1 intake manifold and ls6 intake manifold had a bunch of oil in them.

thank you jet wash for the badass cleaning.
