newbie ?'s best cam for stock heads my friend is looking to get a cam for his 30th Anniv. t/a and keep good drivability/gas mileage. first off car has lid, LT's, cutout, and tuning. everything else is stock and the car is a convertible with 30k miles on the clock. my friend will eventually get a stall and some gears but for now he really wants to have the car go mid 12's at least. the car went 13.3@105 on nitto's and in crappy weather. he leaves from idle and cuts 2.1-2.3 60ft so there is a little more in his setup with some more gear/stall. he was looking at something from Patriot but hasnt really decided, and cost will be considered cuz of his budget. i was thinking of something that will produce a lot of torque since the car is a conv. with some beehive springs, comp pushrods, and a little tuning. anyone have some ideas or advice as far as a complete cam package? dont really know too much about LS1's cuz im an LT1 guy, so any info is appreciated.
