Turn your LS1 into a monster 500ci
I read a small blurp about a company called ErlPerformance.com that can trasform your LS1 block into a 500ci monster in Car Craft magazine yesterday!
Now, there's nothing on there site yet about the LS1 version, just some 4 bagger ones. But I immagine the process is still the same and it should give you an idea of how they do their magic...
Here's the Technial Breif:

Here's a copy our email convo thus far asking for more more info:

Hi.
I picked up a copy of Car Craft magazine and in it they had featured your SuperdeckII, but it was made for a LS1 engine... it turned the stock 347ci block into a 500ci.
I checked your website to find out more and I found SuperdeckII's for 4 cylinder apps, but there's no mention of an LS1 version anywhere... why?

You are correct. We are in the process of building our new web-site for the V8 market however we do have in our tech brief section a tech brief on the Structural analysis of our 500 ci Superdeck 2 sleeve design you can look at as well. Thanks !

*LOL* I dind't think this post would take too long to get a reply. heh
Not sure if they'll be able or willing to make a kit version or not. I would suspect that they'd just offer the work exclusively for their shop considering some of the steps in the process involved.
Would make one hell of a winter project though!

That would be cool, but I have no interest in paying for customer headers due to the increased deck height. If I did, I'd be getting the big decked warhawk block when it's available.

Warhawk?
What was the process as a customer to get that installed SSilverSSurfer??
IE: Did you have to send them your block, leave your car with them, or was there a kit that they send you?
I couldn't get much info from Sean @ ErlPerformance.com about it.. only that he's send me the info when they get it...?
Was it a complete package build up, or did you have to buy matching parts ontop of that to finish it off? IE: Custom headers, hood scoop for clearance, ect...
Any track times??
And of corse the question the I'm sure a bunch are whincing at... what was the cost????
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm pretty curious as to weather this is something I should start saving my peanuts for!
Last question... is it still considered an LS1? lol

The warhawk block is being designed by World Products and is supposed to start shipping in the next month or so. They have two deck heights. I don't remember what they are, but one is stock and the other is taller. You can get a 427 on the stock deck height and a 454 or 481 on the taller deck height. They're designed for strength, so boost and high HP/RPMs are okay. It's a very exciting product even to newbies like myself.
